RICK'S MEXICAN PITO BEANS

Ingredients

2 lbs. pinto beans

1 lg. can crushed or stewed tomatoes with garlic & basil

1 lb. lean or low fat ground Longhorn meat

1 lg. sweet onion

1 lg. bottle chunky med. picante

2 pods crushed garlic sauce or hotter

1 lg. boxed wine of choice

2 pkts. med. taco seasoning or hotter

Directions

Cook beans in large stew pot until done; add one packet taco seasoning at the end. Drink some wine! Brown ground meat and add one packet taco seasoning to meat. Drink more wine! Add chopped onion (chopped fine); drink some wine! Add cooked ground meat. Drink more wine! Add crushed garlic. Drink some wine! Add picante sauce. Drink more wine! Add crushed or stewed tomatoes; drink some wine! Salt and pepper to taste. Bring to boil for approximately 5 minutes; drink more wine! Pet the wife or husband and kiss the dog (or is it the other way around?).

Turn down heat and simmer until thick. Take a break from drinking wine! Serve with grated sharp Cheddar cheese on top. Serve with tortillas or cornbread. Serves a butt load!

Note: Tequila can be substituted for the wine, but not recommended!
